Description: The Cayuga Women's Business Trust Fund was established to assist women in entrepreneurial ventures by making collateral available to secure small business loans. The fund is modeled after revolving funds that operate in Asia and Africa where groups of women support each other, one at a time, to start and grow a business. The entrepreneur pays the loan back so the next woman in the group can borrow money and start her business. The support of women waiting to receive a loan helps the entrepreneur and gives those waiting experience and insight.
The irrevocable trust invites contributors to give money for the purpose of assisting Cayuga County-based women entrepreneurs. The trust is held at Cayuga Lake National Bank. |
