Who wants to run with Tracy Chamberlain Higginbotham to support pediatric cancer? Raise your hand and register for our team.

EVENT:

Held in conjunction with the Taste of Syracuse, Paige's Butterfly Run, brought to you this year by Alan Byer Volvo, brings runners and walkers from across Central New York to downtown Syracuse each year to participate in one of the region's premier 5K races. Our goal is to host a stellar community event while raising the critical dollars necessary to fund local pediatric cancer research and patient programs at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital.

This year, Paige's Butterfly Run will celebrate its 29th event on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in downtown Syracuse. This family-friendly event includes:

3K fitness run/walk
5K Centipede Team Division
Caterpillar crawl for kids under 5 years old

Participants who register for the live event by May 1st will receive a t-shirt.

Proceeds from the event benefit the Dr. William J. Waters Center for Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders at Upstate Golisano Children's Hospital, Syracuse, New York.

Tracy is trying every sport once, and sometimes races more than once! This year she is earmarking her legs and fundraising towards Paige's Butterfly Run to help the local Goliasano Children's Center fight pediatric cancer.

What happens when you are gathered around a table with women you are just getting to know and all of a sudden you leave the meeting having all committed to doing a triathlon together and the ages of the women in the room are 40-70?

If you want to be part of our gang of women trying their first sprint triathlon to raise money for breast cancer research, join me (and us) at the 14th Annual Gillie Girl Sprint Triathlon on July 27th in Camillus, New York at and around Gillie Lake.

You can do it by yourself or split up the triathlon legs with other women. It is made for everyone to enjoy.

Tracy Chamberlain Higginbotham is dedicating the race to her friend Teresa Dowe Huggins, who had breast cancer and shines on from above the rainbow. Teresa did her first triathlon after a special friend of hers passed away. The truth is also that many women in her organization are breast cancer survivors or living with the disease now.
