Women TIES Special Program 'Women Mean Business' Sharing Ideas on Resilience

Women Mean Business Book Featuring:
Andrea Simon
Simon Associates Management Consultants

Wednesday, June 5, 2024
12 pm - 1:30 pm
Zoom From Your Office or Home

Reservations due:  June 4

$29.00  (Program, Sales Contact List, Networking )

This is a special program that Women TIES is offering to our members and any woman interested in learning from the amazing Andrea Simon, Ph.D. of Simon Associates, and co-author of the "Women Mean Business" book.

What can a new book teach us about the power of pictures, words, and wisdom? "Women Mean Business: Over 500 Insights from Extraordinary Women to Spark Your Success," published in September 2023 by Edie Fraser, Robyn Freedman Spizman, and Andi Simon PhD is a compilation of 500 wisdom from 102 women, each of whom shared their perspectives on women's transformative power in the business world.

This book is not just a collection of stories; it is a testament to the incredible journey women have embarked upon and their profound impact on businesses of all shapes and sizes, entrepreneurs, c-suite leaders, philanthropists, and association leaders.

Today, it has become increasingly evident that women bring to business a unique perspective, different experiences, and robust talents. The women in Women Mean Business are catalysts for positive change. They bring fresh ideas, empathetic leadership, and a collaborative spirit, which can lead to innovation and growth.

During this Zoom event, Andi will share the keys to resilience as demonstrated by these women and give time to women on the call to share some of their success strategies on business or resilience.

If you would like to order the book in advance, the link to buy the book is: www.womenmeanbusiness.com or at Amazon, https://amzn.to/3TFAzVn

About the Presenter

Andrea Simon, Ph.D., principal and founder of Simon Associates Management Consultants (SAMC), launched SAMC in 2002 to bring anthropology's methods, tools, and theory to businesses that needed or wanted to change.

Andi's expertise lies in helping companies and non-profit institutions reflect on their purpose and ability to achieve their goals. She helps SAMC's clients by developing their purpose and brand positioning; redesigning their organization's culture, creating new Blue Ocean Strategies, and improving their financial performance using innovative and effective product development and marketing methodologies. Andi is particularly effective at understanding how current and prospective customers really "see, feel, and think" about a company's products, services, and experience. She can then help focus corporate leadership on those unmet needs to open new market spaces.

A frequent speaker, workshop presenter, and consultant, Andi has developed Simon Associates Management Consultant into a leading firm in its field. She has a very successful, award-winning book, On The Brink: A Fresh Lens To Take Your Business To New Heights. Her podcast, On the Brink with Andi Simon, is in the top 200 of her business categories in subscribers and listeners, among the top 5% of global podcasts, and ranked among the top 20 futurist podcasts.

Dr. Simon's second book, Rethink: Smashing the Myths of Women in Business, is an Axiom 2022 Bronze Best Business Book in the Women in Business category.

With a Ph.D. in Anthropology from CUNY, Dr. Simon was a tenured facility member at Ramapo University before entering corporate America. She served in both the financial services and healthcare industries, each going through dramatic transformations. In 2006, Dr. Simon was a visiting professor at Washington University in St. Louis, teaching entrepreneurship to Arts and Science students. A widely engaged speaker, she has conducted over 500 speaking engagements and workshops since 2007.

Where are my country-loving, adventure-loving, horse-loving women?

It is time for you to join Tracy Chamberlain Higginbotham on her latest "Try Every Sport Once" Adventure - Barrel Racing, a rodeo event in which a horse and rider attempt to run a cloverleaf pattern around preset barrels in the fastest time. At this 3-day experience in the heart of CNY, you will learn all things horses, how to ride them (if you haven't) and try this sporting event.

Barrel racing camp focuses on the art and technique of barrel racing. The camp will detail specifics of barrel racing, polebending, and gymkhana classes. Each rider will be challenged with new ideas, new drills, and exercises to enhance their performance in the arena. We will also spend time trail riding, stall cleaning, and caring for our horses.

Galeway Quarter Horse Camps offer an educational, fun horse experience centered around building rider's knowledge, confidence, independence, and teamwork. A full experience - if you ever wanted one!

The classes are three consecutive days on July 29, 30, 31 from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. The cost will be $300 for the lessons and experience plus $25 for snacks, and an administrative fee for Women TIES.

We are looking to book this event early so we have our numbers. We need at least 4 women to make this event happen, so please join Tracy for this unique summertime experience. Email her with any questions or call 315-708-4288.

If you are interested, please sign up and pay by June 1, 2024. If you need to make more than one payment, please reach out to Tracy.

Invite other women you know to join us. No one under 18 please, since Galway has special programs for young riders.
