She graduated from Syracuse University's Magazine, Newspaper and Online Journalism master's program in 2012 and has worked as a reporter for several local publications before arriving at NewsChannel 9.
Sistina joined NewsChannel 9 in March 2014 as a Bridge Street co-host.

March 8th is International Women's Day (IWD) with a mission to help forge a gender equal world all over the globe. By celebrating women's achievements and increasing visibility, while calling out inequality, is integral. Collective action and shared ownership for driving gender parity is what makes IWD successful. As Gloria Steinem said, "The story of women's struggle for equality belongs to no single feminist nor to any one organization but to the collective efforts of all who care about human rights."
At the Women TIES 2021 International Women's Day Zoom Celebration, speaker Stacey Murphy, Founder of Murphy Grant Consulting, will inspire women to prepare for and consider applying for grants. Women make less money than men overall and one way to add income to women owned business' bank accounts is with grants. Women entrepreneurs, who conduct research and apply for grants to help their companies, especially when navigating COVID-19, can increase their revenue stream. In order to do this, having basic elements ready to use such as a Grants Readiness Toolkit is essential.
During this event Stacey will use current examples open to small businesses to shed light on:
* What makes your business "grant ready" to be ready to apply?
Grant workshops often devote whole days to these and related topics. This lunchtime session will provide basic tips to get you started and allow time for questions.
We'll also have a discussion on this annual International Women's Day to see what you can do to make a positive difference for women.
NOTE: Are you interested in sponsoring this event to get promotion and marketing prior to, during and after the event is over? Email the Women TIES office for details and create a great marketing opportunity for your business, product, book or event.

Save this date because we have an international female speaker ready to inspire us. Her name is Dr. Juliet McGrattan, the author of two books, and a friend of mine from the 261Fearless.org running global network. Simply put, Juliet is brilliant.
Women today should be connecting with women not only in their own region, state or nation but globally as well. As part of the 261Fearless.org core team for awhile, I had early morning conversations with the CEO from Austria, with the Founder in New Zealand, a sister Boston Marathon runner in France, and Iceland. When I say women from all over the world are wonderful, I mean it. Come meet my friend Juliet on April 21st and you'll see what I mean.
Juliet's speech topic and description is forth-coming but she is a doctor and author who runs, writes, blogs, speaks and encourages other women to enrich their life through physical activity. You might get motivated at some point through Juliet's speech to get more into fitness this spring.
We will also be giving away a couple of Juliet's new book!
NOTE: We are looking for a sponsor for this program if you'd like some international attention. Email or call the Women TIES office for more details.
